Currently an Emergency Medicine resident physician at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island, Dr. Budi intends to pursue a fellowship in wilderness medicine. During his international medicine rotation at Mercy Hospital in 2012 he was asked to evaluate and educate the staff on hand hygiene protocols. He is a member of the Rhode Island ACEP Committee on Opioid Addiction and Treatment and is in the process of collecting research on behavioral medicine in the Emergency Department. Dr. Budi is scheduled to attend the NEOMEN conference where he has been asked to present a case report on adolescent SVC syndrome.

Currently an Emergency Medicine resident physician at Adena Health Systems in Chillicothe, Ohio, Dr. Haque intends to pursue a fellowship in global health or a Master’s degree in population health. She has served six years as medical student coordinator for Children’s Aid Mission International, a surgical team that operates in Guatemala. She was the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine’s (KYCOM) international health representative for two years. Most recently she founded a partnership between KYCOM and Calcutta Mercy Hospital for medical rotations. She is currently conducting a healthcare professionals observational studies with secondary analysis.

Currently a McConnell Scholar studying political science at the University of Louisville, he has worked extensively in the non-profit industry for the last five years. In that time he has worked for five non-profits and founded two, one of which he ran as Chief Executive for two years. He is in the process of publishing survey research on professor-student interactions in Political Science departments with Harvard University’s Institute of Politics. He was named National Youth Leader of the Year in 2011 and was the 2014 national champion in Collegiate Moot Court.

Currently a fourth year Medical Student at Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine, she received a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Louisville in 2011. She has a vivid interest in language which she uses to connect to an international patient population. She has served five years as a medical student and translator for Children’s Aid Mission International. Upon graduating medical school in May 2015 she plans to enter a dual residency program in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine.

WHO WE ARE

 

Healthy Hands Inc. is run by an experienced and dedicated force of volunteers. On staff we have two physicians, a fourth-year medical student, and a non-profit consultant. Together they provide expertise in the wide range of areas necessary to execute projects at Calcutta Mercy Hospital.
